Foster Pet

Here's a story. This is Cat. Cat was found by Sport-O's studio meowing like crazy right at our door. It must've been hungry and lost. Sport-O saw it the other day on the neighboring property, but thought it may have been an outdoor cat that wandered the neighborhood. We realized that this little kitten meowing at us last night was declawed and probably snipped- and as we found out- is litter trained. So someone cared about this cat- which probably escaped from its warm and loving house. This was no outdoor cat. It was so lovable. Hearts were melted.

Sport-o and Sport-a couldn't just leave the little thing to be hit by a car on a busy street or to be eaten by a bigger animal. With no claws it had no defense. It didn't have fleas or anything wrong with it so the Sports snatched it up and took it home. Fliers are being made and they'll be put on telephone poles. Time will tell.

The Sports are leary about handing Cat over to the Humane Society. They're hoping someone will claim Cat before it comes to that. The Humane Society does not euthanize, which makes Sport-a feel a little better. But the Sports have mixed feelings about Cat. What do you do with it? What if no one claims it? And....

So what about the guinea pig?! This may be an issue. Right now, Cat is afraid of Frodo, which is good. If Cat stays away, then the Sports won't find Frodo's half-eaten body when they come home. Frodo's room door is closed for now. Frodo is the pet. Cat is the foster pet. "They are labeled #1 Shit and #2 Shit," Sport-a said. "We can't name Cat because that would create an attachment to it," Sport-a also said. But Azriel has been spoken (Gargamel's cat from The Smurfs). So has numerous Lord of the Rings character names... you know- to go with "Frodo." Sauron? Saruman? Eowyn? Arwen? Galadriel?

But Cat is just Cat. And we need to find Cat's real home.

I Dreamed a Dream

So I had a vivid dream of being in an out of control elevator plunging to my death. When I "landed" it was when I was startled awake. It felt like my body had been dropped there. The falling sensation felt so real.

So this is what sleeps.com has to say about these aspects of my dream.

Elevator
An elevator dream is a rather complex dream and you should interpret it in light of all the other symbols in your dream, for one thing, if the elevator is going up your fortunes will increase, down is the opposite. If the elevator continues to go up and down with out letting you off means you have let your emotions, or your situation, get out of control and must do something to stop it.

Fall
If you dream you are falling but you are not frightened or harmed shows that you will meet with adversity but overcome it with ease. If the fall greatly frightens you then will you under go a major struggle in life. If you are injured in the fall you will lose many friends.

---So in conclusion I will have decreased fortunes and will undergo a major struggle in life. Yippee. That sounds so comforting.

I haven't had any rock star dreams lately and I think I'm due for some. I've been visited by Bono, John Lennon, Bon Jovi (seriously). Those are the best dreams. That and the ones where I'm flying.

Issues

In no particular order

1. Medical Insurance people suck. SUCK, as in S-U-C-K suck.
2. My online class teacher is a total schlub and so are most of the students. I've never had a class like this before.
3. I have my old boss coming back to my workplace next week for a day- so I'll have 2 bosses at one time sort of. I wonder if she'll tell me what to do or if she'll treat me as a peer. I'm thinking the first option.
4. A maintenance guy broke a flourescent light right in front of my office today. Is that bad luck or something?
5. There's snow in the mountains... that means that they'll be closing the gate to the Park soon.
6. I probably won't be able to go to my good friend's wedding in Feb. I'm pretty bummed about it.
7. I'm still keeping the faith, but it is fading about going to Italy. It's only money afterall. We'll be in debt for the rest of our lives, but when won't we be in debt?
8. I'm facing burnout. Need a vacation.
9. I'm facing burnout. Need a vacation.
10. I'm a hockey widow again. (The season started up)
